In 1976 i was studying medecin in Bologna
and, in my spare time, my passion for cows led me to visit the nearby
farms.
I met Domenico Campeggi, a very nice person and experienced breeder.
There was a feeling between us, so that when he quit growing up cows,
he let me choose a few pure-bred Canadian Holsteins. I chose a heifer,
daughter of Rockman, which had struck me. I saw her mother, Donna, an
excellent divident clipper, daughter of Thornlea Texal Supreme; a truly
impressive animal. The muzzle didn't fit in a hand-palm, the ribs and
abdomen mirrored a high productive capacity, the udder was finely detailed
and had excellent teats; there were all the requirements for the raising
of a good familyOnce home, Alca Rokman Donnetta didn't need much time
before becoming the farm symbol.
She easily won fairs, participating either as a heifer and as a stable
cow, always remarking her own excellent productivity. Every delivery has
been a progress for her, and all her daughters have been following her
same steps. Her first-born Posal Citation Olimpia (daughter of Northcroft
Admiral Citation has been widely appreciated within the national rings;
she's been chosen among the young italian cows for the Cremona european
meeting 82. In the stable her milk flows with extreme precision.
The last daughter of Donnetta has been a Starbuck, which has confirmed
the family characters: milk parameters, style, show appeal, neat structure,
perfect limbs, beatiful udder texture, increasing body capacitance after
deliveries. Posal Starbuck Donnetta at her first delivery has given birth
to Posal Marv Donnetta whom, after 11 years is still fully working in
the farm. Since her first delivery she has shown a great productivity
which has increased through the years along with her morphology. Posal
Marv Donnetta is excellently qualified. Her genetic power is well demonstrated
and increases the morphology of the family through either male and female
newborns. Her offsprings: Domo, Donovan, DON...DONAY - can be commented
by progeny.
Her daughters produce and reproduce themselves greatly: two young nephews
of Posal Marv Donnetta have already successfully participated in the Central-Southern
show. A niece, son of DON, has been national champion in the "Primipare"
category under 36mths in 1997. By now, many Donnetta cows are rated "very
good" and "excellent". All have outstanding productivity,
style, milk parameters, udder; they are capable of "growing"
after deliveries, they have a long life and an excellent show appeal.
